Purdue's Sasha Stefanovic Has No Problem Burying Threes In Front Of Barstool Carl's Face
On today's episode of the Barstool Bench Mob... SASHA STEFANOVIC! The Purdue senior guard joined us on today's show to discuss the huge win over Illinois earlier this week, how good this Boilermakers team can be, the difficulty of the B1G, and much more.
Speaking of that win over Illinois, it was a great way to set the tone in college basketball this week. (4) Purdue took down (17) Illinois, 96-88 in 2OT on Monday afternoon, and Stefanovic was a big reason for that win. He hit five three pointers, which all came with our friend and co-worker Barstool Carl sitting courtside. Carl is an Illinois alum, and was understandably very pumped up to see his Fighting Illini in action against one of the best teams in the country.
Stafanovic is a big Stoolie and is specifically a huge fan of the Barstool Chicago crew (who isn't?), so when we asked him about whether or not he was aware of Carl being in the crowd for this one, this is how he responded:
Oh man. Three after three after three after three after three to come out with the road win. Carl is still recovering...
... but, it seems like Stefanovic is going to make things a little better for Carl whenever he is back in Chicago...
Tonight, Stefanovic and company play in one of the biggest rivalry games of them all: Purdue vs. Indiana at Assembly Hall.
This was an awesome episode of the Barstool Bench Mob. We had Big Cat back on the show to break down Duke's loss to Florida State, a big week in the Big 12, and much more. Listen below:
